color block ceiling medallion.

We had a fabulous "boob" light still up from when we bought our house...

and several months ago I bought a new on...It's a cool light and I really like it... What I didn't like was the leftover outline of the afore mentioned light on my white ceiling. When it was installed, I scrubbed it trying to get rid of the ring but it didn't completely go away, so I thought...no biggie I'll just paint the entire ceiling next chance I get. 

Three months later, ring still there and last night I decided I wanted to do something about it and also add a little something interesting to my fifth wall...So I drew a hexagon around the fixture with a pencil...

...then taped it off and debated what leftover color from my paint shed it should be...

I decided to go with all three! :)  Then I taped off some lines for a random color blocking...

and painted each section a different color...

I think the end product turned out pretty cool, my boob light problem was solved and it was super easy...
