This weekend I was bitten by the spring time bug. It was such a gorgeous Saturday and I had to get outside. So I decided to do a little planting...
I have been dreaming about climbing vines around my front porch all winter and I've done my research. I had a list of pros and cons and have had it narrowed down to three selections for about two months now....
Option #1 English Ivy

Option #2 Wisteria

Option #3 Carolina Jasmine

And I chose..............
The JASMINE!!!
I love the bright cherry flowers and the fact that it is evergreen. I can't wait for the two little baby vines to get growin! I also filled two hanging baskets that my sweet mother-in-law left me.They look similar to this basket...

I filled the baskets with dusty miller (which happens to match the shade of green that my front door is painted), Potato Vine, and some bright red flowers that I believe are called celosia.
DUSTY MILLERPOTATO VINE
CELOSIA
YAY for SPRING!!!!!

I love, love, love spring color as well! I can't wait to see how your jasmine fills in and grows. I really like all your flower choices. I enjoy cheery flowers so very much. Happy Spring to the Gibbs! :)
It's time for another trip to Abilene! Maybe we can plan something for this summer when my guys are off on a camping trip!
